Pet Health Insurance

We all want our cats to live long and healthy lives but the fact is that health issues will likely arise sometime in your cat's lifespan. Those who feel that the purchase price will be the greatest cost associated with owning a cat are in for an unpleasant surprise.

An emergency medical condition can always occur. The timing of these events are always poor, you may have to rush your cat to an emergency vet clinic in the dead of night and be faced with a difficult decision. Do you hand over your credit card and tell the vet to do everything possible to save your pet or will you be financially forced to select minimal care or worse, euthanasia?

Health care for all species is expensive. Several of our clients have elected to get pet health insurance. One had their Aby get loose and attacked by a neighbor's dog. The vet costs were in the thousands of dollars of which a good portion was covered by health insurance. So we advise all our clients to consider pet health insurance. We don't advocate any particular company. The best thing for you to do is to Google 'pet insurance review' and visit the listed websites that provide information on pet insurance carriers. You can also ask your vet if he/she recommends a certain company but beware that they may be financially  compensated by that company.
